Components / Materials:
Plastic food container, Aluminium foil, tape.
Necessary Tools:
Box Cutter.
Estimated Time:
20 minutes.
Imagined Context:
Concealed with a small bag, carried to public places, light weight and discrete.
Intention:
Inspired by the rise of Apple Airdrop to broadcast politically subversive messages, this device does that with an open-source solution. It broadcasts via WiFi SSIDs and captive network portals.
Process:
Cutouts are made to the container to accomodate the router. The lid is covered with alluminium foil to amplify signals. The container, lid and antennas are hled together with glue.
Problems Encountered:
Didn't manage to deploy the code to the router, due to the router configuration issues.
How Easily Reproducible is It?:
A lot.
